Examples of health information systems and services delivered by MD+A consultants include:
- National health information systems for international development: MD+A has led the strategic planning for health information management practices in two countries in transition for the purpose of increasing the countries’ efficacy in providing public health services.
- Hospital information systems: MD+A has worked with two hospitals to plan and implement laboratory information systems, pharmacy information systems, a cancer registry and other hospital information systems, as well as leading the organizational transformation required to support the new systems.
- Public health information systems: MD+A has led the development and implementation of a public health information system, used to facilitate information-sharing among health care providers, to allow for more effective monitoring of public health issues and to provide statistical information for the development of public health policy.
- Clinical management systems: MD+A has led the planning, procurement and implementation of a clinical management system for supporting clinical practice management for an HIV primary care and specialty clinic.
